Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

STUF'D was born out of my love for my grandmother's (Nan's) French toast and the need for a savory French toast sandwich. Not only do I admire my grandmother, but she is also my inspiration. She just turned 90 years old and wakes up every day with a sense of determination. Although she was unable to successfully start her own catering business (which I recently found out that she tried to do!), she passed on her fervor for cooking and leadership.

How do you stay motivated?

Many people think money is the ONLY motivational factor; however, nothing motivates me more than having exuberant partners, happy clients and employees who are genuinely excited to go to work. The business is built upon success through providing a great product, yes, but for us it is all about the service aspect and that starts with the staff. I work hard because I am dedicated to my team, partners, and clients through creating memorable experiences.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If given $25,000, it would immediately be reinvested into marketing measures. Our newest growth opportunity is to extend our market within the local NYC (specifically Brooklyn and Queens) school communities, which will take outreach and time. We aim to bring the excitement of the food truck experience to more students and teachers alike, whether for an appreciation day, holiday celebration, block party, simple school event, parent teacher meetings, and graduations!
