Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I’m inspired by people who go against the grain and aren’t motivated by money. They are smart enough to know that their passion will bring them the life they deserve and that money will naturally follow. I love Daymond John and Codie Sanchez. I love that Daymond John started his business with virtually nothing and made it an empire. Stories like his keep me inspired. Codie Sanchez keeps it real. She talks about all the things that are normal to feel as a Founder.

How do you stay motivated?

Remembering that at the age of 8, my father gambled away our entire home, the contents in it, all the money was gone and so was he. One day, I came home from school and my life was forever changed. I shared a room with my mom until I left for college. My grandparents taught me my hard work ethic. Their sacrifice and the mistakes my father made keep me motivated. I want people to know you can build a gorgeous life, simply no matter where you come from.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it for payroll and to buy video equipment so that we can film without having to rent. It would be more cost-effective. I am only as successful as the people I make successful.
