Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I am a creator of beautiful fragrances and curator of memorable experiences. I attribute my ability to create timeless moments to my Aunt Mary. When I was 18, I would help my aunt with her event coordinating business. She showed me that it was possible to have your 9 to 5 but still pursue your passion. You don’t have to put your dreams on the backburner — do something that fills your soul, too. I am thankful to not only pour into myself but others as well through Urban GLŌ.

How do you stay motivated?

I am motivated by the positive impact that Urban GLŌ is making in the lives of everyone that we come across. There are so many people struggling to find time for self-care and could use an outlet. My goal is to bridge the gap between self-care and community through our products and fragrance experiences. Urban GLŌ connect people through fragrances, one safe space experience at a time. We still have more people to help with their self-care journey and I am eager to continue this mission.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I plan to allocate the $25,000 across several key areas to fuel the growth of Urban GLŌ. A significant portion will be invested in creating new, unique candle scents and expanding our fragrance experiences. I will focus on improving our website optimization for e-commerce, and exploring additional online marketplaces to expand retail partnerships. The funds will also support employee training initiatives for community engagement and candle production, enabling me to hire additional employees.
