Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business stems from a deep respect for the interconnectedness of people, food, and the environment. I am motivated by pioneers in sustainable agriculture and community-building, as well as the resilience and creativity of the individuals and families I serve. Seeing the positive change that can occur when people are given the tools to thrive inspires me to continue innovating and advocating for a more just and sustainable food system.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by witnessing the tangible impact of my work on the community and the environment. Every successful harvest, every workshop attendee who leaves with newfound skills, and every story of transformation from those I serve fuels my passion. Collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations also reinvigorates my commitment to fostering food equity and sustainability. Reflecting on the progress made and the potential for further change keeps me driven to pursue my mission.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Upgrade our farming infrastructure to increase productivity and efficiency, including acquiring tools and materials to support organic growing practices. Develop new educational programs and workshops to serve more community members, particularly in underinvested areas. Expand our value-added product line, allowing us to create more opportunities for community engagement and sustainable revenue generation.
