Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business is my daughter and the journey I went through after her loss. Overcoming depression during that time inspired me to create Spunk Cosmetics, a brand dedicated to empowering women and promoting self-love. I wanted to help others see their beauty inside and out, while fostering confidence and mental wellness. This purpose is the heart of everything I do and drives my passion for building a meaningful and impactful business.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by reflecting on my personal journey and why I started Spunk Cosmetics. Losing my daughter and overcoming depression taught me the power of resilience, prayer, and self-love. Creating a brand that incorporates affirmations reminds me daily that my work is about helping others feel confident and beautiful inside and out. I also draw strength and motivation from my family, who inspire me to keep building a legacy that honors my daughter while making a meaningful impact on others.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to scale Spunk Cosmetics through marketing, product development, and community initiatives. I would expand digital marketing to reach more people and share our message of empowerment and self-love, enhance our product line and packaging to emphasize affirmations, and invest in giving back, such as partnering with children’s hospitals. This funding would help amplify our impact, honor my brand’s mission, and inspire women to embrace their beauty inside and out.
