Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my community. As a graphic designer, I’m driven by helping businesses bring their ideas and aesthetics to life. For my clothing brand with my partner , the youth inspire me. As a young entrepreneur, I relate to their challenges and triumphs, and I want to show them they have a voice and aren’t defined by their environment. Overall, my goal is to give back and uplift the younger generation and be of service to businesses in need!

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by knowing that people are counting on me and that my businesses are making a difference in the lives of those I reach and help. My younger siblings, including one I lost, inspire me to keep going. It fuels my drive to create something meaningful and leave a lasting impression on them and the family I plan to have one day!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I’d invest in my graphic design business by getting software, and marketing tools to better serve clients. I’d also build inventory for SLABLIFE, my clothing brand with my partner, which stands for Soldiers Leading and Building, and trademark both businesses for legal protection. Additionally, I’d give back to my community through back-to-school drives, homeless care kits, host events for the youth and other initiatives.
