What is the Entrepreneur of Impact?
Learn MoreLike math in science, business is humanity's universal language, essential for global change. Witnessing the devastating effects of poor economic leadership in West Africa as a child, coupled with the diverse skills I've gained in America, I have a strong drive to empower those facing economic hardship and create opportunities for growth. My business inspiration can be summed up by the African proverb: "A good chief is like a forest: everyone can go there and get something [positive]."
How do you stay motivated? To fix something, you must understand its inner workings. To improve African lives, I've pursued extensive education—a doctorate in medicine, two master's degrees (business and molecular biology), and several entrepreneurial ventures. My core motivation is alleviating suffering and injustice for millions. This drives me even in difficult times, reminding me that my failure could perpetuate the suffering and hardship for generations.
What would you do with the $25,000?I recently founded Inspivia Limited, a Nigeria-based multimedia company ("Inspiration Via the Collective"), to empower young African artists. We provide financial and executive support, enabling them to create impactful art for self-improvement, economic empowerment, and reinvestment in other emerging talents. Having recently launched our first Afrobeats artist, Dami Olorin, I would use the $25,000 to further promote his album and support other artists in completing their projects.
