Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration is my community. After reading one survey from a mentally ill patient expressing that she didn't have the correct shampoo and conditioner for her hair type in order to groom her hair after an extended stay, I knew that she was just 1 of many. Until there is inclusive haircare at all hospitals in the US, the work is not done.

How do you stay motivated?

I know there is a need to fulfil and that means there is more work to do and more haircare to provide. The hospital that I service has over 12000 BIPOC patients alone so that means that there must be millions of patients without proper haircare. With out this, how can there be a sense of trust, will power to get better?

What would you do with the $25,000?

We can make hair kits we can make more sample ethnic hair care kits for magnet hospital in the country to try. Every hair kit costs about $64, including shipping. Our goal to reach 591 hospitals is $37,824. The goal is to secure contracts with these hospitals so that we may be able to create and secure the rest of the 435 magnet hospitals. We need marketing to be able to bring awareness to the lack of inclusive hair care nationwide.
