I never intended to create an organic bedding brand, but in hindsight, every step of my journey seemed to bring me here. As a child, I found solace in the simple ritual of making the bed—the care, the warmth, and the comfort of home. Over time, I realized the hidden struggles of cotton farmers, exposed to harmful chemicals, witnessing their health decline, and their land suffer. Thus, Ela Lane was born—not just as a brand but as a commitment to do better.

How do you stay motivated?

I am passionate about creating something as simple yet impactful as making beds. There is immense joy in knowing that the softness of Ela Lane's organic sheets brings comfort and promotes better, healthier sleep. Feedback like, "Ela Lane sheets are a game changer for my hot flashes," and “Even our 19-year-old son wanted to take his set when he moved out" warms my heart. These moments and genuine connections with people's lives inspire me to continue doing meaningful work.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning the $25,000 prize would be a game-changer for Ela Lane. It would enable us to reach more people and positively impact individuals’ sleep while supporting fair wages for the farmers and workers behind our products. I aim to establish Ela Lane as a trusted name in organic bedding, fostering a community dedicated to well-being and social change.
