Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my parents, who migrated with a dream to succeed, my two daughters who see me as their role model, my fantastic loan officers who count on my leadership to thrive in challenging markets, and my 9,700+ social media followers who look to me for influence and expertise. These all drive my determination, and grit, to inspire my community. As a Hispanic woman and industry leader, I am dedicated to making a lasting impact in the local financial sector.

How do you stay motivated?

My faith motivates me, knowing God is guiding me, opening doors, and strengthening me for the purpose He designed me for. At the end of my life, I want to look back with no regrets, confident that I gave my all, led with my heart, and provided value for my parents, children, and community. To maintain balance and manage the mental toll of entrepreneurship, I stay active with tennis, rest and enjoy my family which keep me focused, resilient, and aligned with my purpose.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Working in mortgage for 8.5 years and preparing taxes for 3, I partnered with a senior citizen friend who was fired after 10 years at the same tax firm due to "position not needed." We combined her 40 years experience with my creativity, persistence, and vision, to open our own tax firm. This grant would help us fund marketing, software, equipment, as well as host events on tax planning, real estate investing, retirement, and financial literacy to empower, and educate our community.
