Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My grandparents were coal miners, my parents worked in factories. Seeing my family struggle as immigrants and blue-collar workers showed me the importance of work to provide a life and dignity. I saw my father worry during recessions and my mom try to find meaning as a secretary and a member of Mensa. I made it my life’s purpose to make the world of work more egalitarian. My company democratizes job distribution; paying average workers to share jobs feels like my life has come full circle.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by our network of content creators who are building their own income from content creation. It’s my joy to be able to contribute to the creator economy in a more direct way. The relationship between talent and employers is broken. It’s why I get out of bed every day looking for ways to solve this problem and bridge the chasm.

What would you do with the $25,000?

This money would be directly invested back into the business. It would afford us the ability to boost our sales and marketing efforts. We would be able to bring more awareness of our new company in our industry. Lastly, it would likely push us enough to be able to add headcount to the organization so we can continue our important work of changing the way jobs are distributed.
