Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from advocating for individuals who face unequal opportunities and the greatest challenges in a society marked by racial disparities. I am driven to support those who encounter systemic barriers to employment, often finding themselves out of work for months. My goal is to help bridge these gaps, empowering individuals to regain meaningful employment and create pathways to success despite the odds stacked against them.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by uplifting and supporting jobseekers, offering guidance, advice, and even free services to those facing challenges in their career journeys. I firmly believe no one should have to struggle to make ends meet or face the loss of their job or home. Connecting with my family also keeps me grounded and inspired, especially during moments when I feel like I’m not meeting my own expectations. Their encouragement fuels my drive to keep making a positive impact.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to support the unemployed community by helping individuals regain employment and establish a nonprofit dedicated to career empowerment. This funding would enable the creation of free and low-cost career services, providing resume writing, interview preparation, and job placement assistance. Additionally, it would fund partnerships with organizations to help individuals obtain degrees or certifications they otherwise couldn’t afford.
