Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Growing up in the Orthodox Jewish community, I always dreamed of becoming a dancer, but opportunities for girls were limited and not taken seriously. I wanted to create a space where women and girls could access professional-level dance training in a safe environment. After my grandmother Penny A"H, who was a ballet dancer, passed away, I knew it was time to make that dream a reality. I opened Penny’s Dance Studio in her memory to inspire creativity, and a love for the arts.

How do you stay motivated?

Seeing my students’ smiles and hearing their feedback fills me with purpose. Watching them grow in confidence and skill, knowing Penny’s Dance Studio is a place where their love for dance can flourish, is deeply rewarding. It’s what gets me through the hard times, the sleepless nights, and the challenges that come with building something meaningful. The impact made inspires me to keep creating a space where women and girls can thrive and reach their full potential.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would transform Penny’s Dance Studio into a beautiful, inspiring space that truly reflects our mission. It’s essential to have a space with proper flooring, equipment, and resources to provide quality dance education. I’d invest in a sign and upgrade our space for a safer, more professional environment. These improvements would help us better serve the community and create an inspiring, high-quality space for everyone who walks through our doors.
