During the pandemic, at 16, I found books my neighbor had thrown away. I offered them in my community chat, others donated more, and a cycle began—today Books For You Miami has helped over 1M people in 9+ countries.
How do you stay motivated?I stay motivated knowing that every book donation can change someone’s educational future—creating new readers and seeing the gratitude of children and students who lacked access to books.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded the $25,000, we would use the funds to cover shipping costs for schools and organizations that cannot afford them, many outside the United States. This would allow us to deliver free book donations to more communities in need and expand our programs that use books to help children learn English and build stronger educational opportunities.
