Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration in business is my mom. Throughout my childhood she built multiple businesses (including a jewelry store, a vintage and craft shop, a bakery and a counseling practice) showing me that entrepreneurship is both creative and practical. When we lived in South Africa, she spent ten years running an NGO that helped underprivileged women gain employment through education and skills training. Watching her use business and service to uplift others shaped how I approach my own work.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering why I started. After experiencing severe depression, creativity became the force that helped rebuild my life. Now my work helps unconventional artists fund, produce, and sustain their own creative careers. Every time an artist gains confidence, funding, or visibility through my work, it reinforces that this business is bigger than me. It’s about expanding opportunity and access in the arts.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 to scale my project House Plays and expand my creative education platform. $10,000 would fund a season of live House Plays shows in residential and unconventional spaces, paying artists and increasing access to theatre. $7,000 would support marketing and audience subscriptions. $5,000 would develop my grant-funding and self-producing courses. $3,000 would strengthen my operations to increase revenue and reach.
