Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Our inspiration has always been our family and our culture. We grew up in Mexico where bakeries are places where people gather every day. When we opened Maravilla’s, our dream was to bring a piece of that tradition to Oregon. Our children, our customers, and the community inspire us to keep going. Seeing families come in for pan dulce, coffee, and celebrations reminds us why we started.

How do you stay motivated?

Our motivation comes from the people who walk through our doors every day. Many of our customers have been visiting us for years, and we’ve watched their families grow up alongside our bakery. Knowing that our pan dulce and coffee are part of their daily routines and special moments keeps us going. Serving our community and sharing our culture is what gives our work meaning.

What would you do with the $25,000?

We would reinvest it into our bakery so we can continue serving the community that has supported us for 17 years. The funds would help us upgrade equipment, improve our space, and continue baking fresh pan dulce every day. It would also allow us to grow our coffee and pastry offerings while creating an even more welcoming place where people can gather, connect, and celebrate.
