Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration stems from the resilience of local small business owners who anchor their communities. I am specifically moved by leaders like Yvon Chouinard, who proved that profit and planetary health aren't mutually exclusive. Seeing how a well-run business can act as a catalyst for social change motivates me to build a venture that measures success not just by revenue, but by the tangible lives we improve and the legacy of integrity we leave behind.

How do you stay motivated?

Motivation for me comes from "the why." On difficult days, I reconnect with the people our business serves. Hearing direct feedback about how our work solved a problem for a customer keeps my momentum high. I also stay driven by a commitment to constant learning; I view every setback as a data point for future growth. Maintaining a disciplined routine balancing deep work with physical activity ensures I have the mental clarity to lead with energy and purpose.

What would you do with the $25,000?

These funds would be a strategic "force multiplier" for us. We would allocate $15,000 toward machines and inventory to increase our production capacity by 40%. The remaining $10,000 would be invested in a targeted marketing campaign to expand our reach into underserved markets. This grant wouldn't just sustain us it would allow us to scale our impact, hire one additional part-time team member from the community, and reach our next major growth milestone.
