Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My grandmother instilled the passion to create something from bits and bobbles she had lying around. She created a safe haven full of adventures and creativity. That was my foundation. The desire to create that same environment for creatives like me has become my inspiration. Sitting in a studio teaching and creating with all walks of life, having a front row seat to watching them figure out they are creative and finding joy in the process… that is my inspiration.

How do you stay motivated?

It’s the challenge. Starting everyday at 0 and pushing through to create something people will gravitate towards. My business is all about creating with paper crafts. The industry changes everyday. When I’m in the studio filled with people there is a sweet spot when all inhibitions are forgotten and a peace comes over us. That moment is priceless. That is pure motivation for more!

What would you do with the $25,000?

The industry has shifted in ways that have actually brought me to a more unique space. After crafting and creating my whole life I thought I experienced all the things, crafted and created all the things… modern technology and AI along with old companies closing and new companies opening leans into a time in my journey where I was almost at a loss of what direction to go next. I have made a pivot and this money will allow me to take my creativity to the next level!
