Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from people who build something meaningful out of difficult circumstances. I left high school at sixteen to raise my son and later rebuilt my life and career through determination and creativity. That experience shaped how I approach entrepreneurship. I’m inspired by builders and leaders who turn obstacles into opportunity and create paths not only for themselves, but for others to follow.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering where I started and why I began. Building my business wasn’t just about photography—it was about rebuilding my life and creating opportunity for others. Every event I document reminds me that leadership, innovation, and community are happening everywhere. Being in those rooms fuels my drive to keep growing and to help open doors for others.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the funding into strengthening the infrastructure of my studio and expanding opportunities for other women photographers. That includes equipment upgrades, professional development resources, and creating pathways for emerging photographers to gain experience in high-level conference and leadership environments. The goal is to grow a sustainable business while expanding access within the creative industry.
