Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration for Heart of Gold Consulting comes from my own professional experiences. In previous roles, I often felt like I was viewed as just a number rather than a valued individual. Despite my dedication and hard work,I sometimes felt underpaid and unappreciated.I created this organization because I don’t want others to feel the same way I once did at work. How do you stay motivated?

Staying motivated is deeply connected to my sense of purpose and the bigger picture of the impact I hope to make. Whenever I face challenges or moments of fatigue, I remind myself why I started and who I ultimately want to help. I believe that the work I am doing has the potential to create meaningful change, and that belief keeps me moving forward. Another key factor in maintaining my motivation is my commitment to self-care.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded $25,000, I would use the funding to expand the reach and impact of my agency while continuing to serve the community in meaningful ways. One of my top priorities would be securing a physical building for my agency. Having a dedicated space would allow me to provide services in a welcoming, consistent environment where individuals feel safe, supported, and valued. A location would also allow me to host workshops, meetings, and wellness sessions that bring people together.
