Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

There’s a clear gap between finishing design education and gaining real-world experience. I recognized this as a core early-career challenge, which inspired me to create a space for emerging UX/UI designers to build confidence, strengthen case studies, and grow through hands-on support. It also creates an opportunity for senior designers to give back through mentorship and guidance.

How do you stay motivated?

The designers keep me motivated—their growth, job wins, and skill development. Seeing them push forward reinforces my commitment to creating a supportive space where they feel guided rather than overlooked. Having experienced the challenges of breaking in, I’m driven to provide access, mentorship, and community in an industry that can often feel competitive and gatekept.

What would you do with the $25,000?

The $25,000 would be used to scale The Designers Lounge by creating paid opportunities for designers, offering stipends, and expanding access to learning tools and resources. It would also support marketing efforts to reach more designers and ensure all platforms remain active, providing consistent, year-round access to growth, mentorship, and real-world experience.
