Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I’m inspired by founder led businesses and the leaders behind them. Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with founders who notice the smallest details, take immense pride in what they build and work relentlessly to bring their vision to life. That mindset shaped how I approach business, build something meaningful, stay close to the work and create lasting impact through people.That environment shaped my own entrepreneurial mindset.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by the opportunity to build something meaningful. I’m entrepreneurial by nature and energized by solving problems and creating new opportunities. Throughout my career in People & Culture, I’ve seen how powerful strong leadership and great teams can be. Knowing the work can elevate people and organizations keeps me focused, driven and excited to keep building.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into building the Luminary Community foundation including improving the platform, developing high value programming and growing the founding membership base. The goal is to create a trusted community where HR and People leaders can connect, share real experiences and strengthen the impact of the People function within organizations. Communities and subscriptions are a proven success if offerings are strong and people can not get the experience elsewhere.
