Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the people we serve every day—individuals rebuilding their lives with resilience and courage. I’m also deeply inspired by my late husband, John, whose belief in purpose-driven work continues to guide me. Together, those experiences remind me that business can be a force for dignity, second chances, and lasting community impact

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by the impact. Every person who walks through our doors represents a reason to keep going. I remind myself that what we’re building is bigger than me—it’s about creating access, dignity, and opportunity for others. Even on hard days, purpose outweighs obstacles.

What would you do with the $25,000?

At Phoenix, what might have become landfill becomes a lifeline. With $25,000, we would expand our ability to turn donated goods into direct community support—feeding families, restoring dignity, and training the next generation of workers. This funding would help us scale a model that meets people where they are and walks with them toward stability and independence
