Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My greatest inspiration in business is my mother. Despite limited education and facing cancer, abuse, and neglect, she built a business that thrived for over 30 years. Even during treatment, she mentored others to stand strong and believe in themselves. She taught me resilience, courage, and to use my voice. Because of her, I lead with purpose and continue her legacy through DFN Broadcast Studios.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated because I know I’m called to help amplify the voices that often go unheard. That responsibility keeps me focused and grounded. I remind myself that someone is waiting for the opportunity, encouragement, and platform to be seen and heard. By using media to elevate others, I stay driven, knowing the work I do is bigger than me—it’s about impact, purpose, and helping others rise into their voice.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were awarded the $25,000, I would strategically invest a portion to underwrite and expand my platform, allowing me to provide greater resources to elevate others in building and branding their own shows. This would create more opportunities for voices to be seen and heard at a higher level. Additionally, I would begin establishing a foundation to launch a scholarship for women in media—creating access, support, and pathways for women to step boldly into the industry and share their st
