Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business is human connection. Storytelling has taught me how visual content can break down barriers between cultures, places, and people. Creating allows us to educate, share perspective, and build understanding. When my business was just a hobby, I was always driven by the chance to meet people and hear their stories. I believe in listening first and learning from others. Through my business, I’m able to share stories in ways that connect people and broaden understanding

How do you stay motivated?

The risk of business ownership keeps me motivated - it makes me feel human. Waking up each day with the chance to shape my own path drives me. When I started, I did everything I could to get my name out there and wanted nothing more than for my phone to ring. Now that work is consistent, I’m motivated by gratitude for the people who trust me with their stories, and I never forget where it all started.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would help strengthen key areas of my business, especially internal marketing and portfolio development. Over the past six years I’ve captured hundreds of stories, and as my business grows it’s important that work is represented at a higher level. I would invest in web development, copywriting, and AI tools to better showcase my portfolio and communicate the value of the work I’m doing, so that I can reach more people.
