I struggled with addiction and I got sober by myself, feeling alone, worthless, and had no validation. I also have a metabolic disorder called PKU. It was the worst experience of my life. I had a stroke and a heart attack at 36 years old. No one should feel as alone as I felt. People with addiction and trauma should not feel like everyone else wants you to disappear or die. Addicts are suffering and need help and I'm here to help people get out of the hamster wheel of addiction.
How do you stay motivated?My sobriety, my kids, the Lord, my parents, and the thought of helping at least one person in this life not feel alone and help them realize they are worth it is my motivation. I have started Addiction 2 Recovery meetings at the First Christian Church in Rocky Ford Co. The meetings are trauma based.
What would you do with the $25,000?It would all go to the formation of my business to advocate for people struggling with addiction and trauma. As well as working in combating the drug epidemic. Also, it would go to building my online store http://addiction-2-recovery-2.myshopify.com/
