Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from turning adversity into impact. After being taken advantage of by someone I trusted in my industry, I rebuilt my business with stronger values and a bigger mission. Today, B's Kreative Kutz represents ethical, high-quality grooming, while my non-profit Shear Strength focuses on empowering others with education, mentorship, and career opportunities in the grooming industry.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by turning difficult experiences into purpose. After years of feeling like I didn't belong in my industry, I chose to build something better. My children, my clients, and the community I've created remind me why I keep going. I'm constantly learning, even pursuing my business degree, so I can lead with integrity and raise standards in grooming. Knowing I'm building a safe, positive space for both pets and people keeps my pushing forward every day.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would reinvest it into both my business and my nonprofit, Shear Strength. A large portion would fund high-quality starter grooming kits for individuals entering the program, ensuring they begin their careers with reliable tools and proper equipment. Investing in quality education and resources helps set future groomers up for long-term success while improving safety and care standards for the pets they serve.
