Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the families I serve and the responsibility I carry to document their lives. Knowing that a single image can become someone’s most treasured memory pushes me to lead with purpose. I’m also inspired by my family; my husband’s service as a police officer and my role as a mom remind me daily why I built a business rooted in legacy, impact, and community.

How do you stay motivated?

Motivation comes from purpose and the people I serve. Capturing moments that become lifelong memories keeps me driven. Starting at 19, I was told I wouldn’t make it because I was young and a woman—that still fuels me today. What keeps me going is the impact my work has on families and the example I set for my kids: that hard work, determination, and perseverance can turn a dream into something real.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest in growing Harmon Photography to better serve schools and families—expanding equipment, team training, and technology to create an even more seamless experience. I’d also give back by funding scholarships and community initiatives that support local students and families, continuing to build a business rooted in impact.
