Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from the people in our community. I’ve watched individuals walk into our dance nights carrying heavy seasons of life—postpartum depression, grief, divorce, and loneliness—and slowly find joy again. Some have told us it’s the one place they feel like themselves. Seeing confidence return and friendships form reminds me that what we’re building is more than a business—it’s a place where people can heal, belong, and smile again.

How do you stay motivated?

What keeps me motivated is the community we’ve built. Watching friendships grow, confidence blossom, and people truly find themselves again is incredibly rewarding. Many walk through our doors unsure of themselves, but through dance and connection they leave standing a little taller. Seeing that transformation reminds me every day that what we’re building is bigger than a business—it’s a place where people belong.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, we would invest in expanding our programs to reach all generations. We want to introduce dance to younger audiences while also creating classes for seniors that help support movement, memory, and mental well-being. Our goal is to build spaces where every generation—from youth to older adults—can connect, stay active, and experience the joy and confidence that dance brings.
