Who or what is your inspiration in business?

I struggled to breastfeed with large DD postpartum breasts. My lactation consultant taught how to use two hands to latch properly, but that all fell apart when trying to use a nursing cover. I’d do anything to care for my daughter, so I invented a 3D nursing cover that pops open like an umbrella. I pitched the idea to the USPTO pro bono program and won a patent attorney. My patent was issued this past February.

How do you stay motivated?

I’ve never struggled with motivation for anything. I simply make decisions and stick to them. I strongly believe I was put on earth for a big purpose. I refuse to die not having realized that purpose.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I need the 25K to continue manufacturing on my product. I am already in the process of manufacturing my first 1000 pieces. I need funding for the next round because I will sell out. I have field tested this product and nursing women want it as soon as they see it. Big breasted women see it as a solution immediately.
