Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My dad is one of my greatest inspirations. When I was 5, he planted our church and I watched a community grow and flourish under his leadership. He modeled discipline, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to serving others, especially creating opportunities for youth. That example shaped how I approach business. Through Nova Music School, I aim to build strong foundations for young musicians while creating opportunities, mentorship, and community that help people grow far beyond music.

How do you stay motivated?

My students’ growth keeps me motivated. Building a business can be challenging as you balance the daily details with a bigger vision. But when I hear my students’ wins - their performances, new-found confidence, creativity, and personal breakthroughs - it renews my energy. Seeing them discover their potential reminds me why the work matters. My goal is to help every student reach their musical goals and gain confidence that carries into every area of their life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would allow Nova Music School to expand our community impact by serving more students and launching programs that reach underserved groups. A larger space would enable group classes, early childhood music for infants, and engagement programs for seniors - creating connection across generations. We also plan to introduce DJ and creative music programs to engage at-risk youth, providing a positive outlet, mentorship, and pathways for personal growth through music.
