Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My fragrances are inspired by the places I go, the music I listen to, my memories, and emotions I feel. My business as a whole is inspired by the rage I felt when I learned that most of the fragrances we use in our homes from big, famous brands that so many people rely on, are incredibly toxic, and are causing things like hormonal issues (possibly even leading to infertility), respiratory and neurological issues, migraines, and more. My goal is to provide people with a safer alternative.

How do you stay motivated?

When things are tough, I stay motivated by remembering why I started: to build a safe fragrance business entirely on my own. I take care of every aspect of Strawberry Club, from fragrance development, to mixing and pouring, website design, customer service.. I even make the product labels by hand, and work every weekend at pop-up markets. Thinking about how proud 10-year old me would be of me today keeps me going every time I start to doubt myself.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would be able to acquire a small dedicated office/studio space that would allow me to produce (and store) larger quantities of inventory at a time. (I am currently running Strawberry Club out of a corner in my house!) I would also invest in expanding marketing, to reach more customers we haven't met yet.
