Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business comes from resilient entrepreneurs who build something meaningful for their communities. As an Indigenous woman and former psychiatric nurse, I’m inspired by people who lead with purpose, creativity, and care. I’m motivated by the idea that a business can create opportunity, representation, and connection while supporting local producers and bringing people together through food.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by focusing on the bigger picture of what I’m building. Sharecuterie started as a small idea during a difficult time and has grown into a business that supports local producers, creates jobs, and brings people together. Seeing the impact on my team, customers, and community reminds me why the hard work matters and keeps me pushing forward.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into growing Sharecuterie’s retail and catering operations by improving equipment, expanding marketing, and strengthening staff training. The funding would help increase production capacity, reduce waste, and support job creation. It would also allow me to further highlight local Manitoba producers and continue building a sustainable, community-focused business.
