Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My Aunt Bernice was a rock star in my eyes! She was a self employed entrepreneur and a Master Barber. She owned and operated her own barber shop and was a barber to some early celebrities in early days. She inspired so many around her. I also read about other entrepreneurs, business owners both near and far and I am inspired by their journeys. It reminds me deep down on the inside it is possible and I can do it. I have overcome so many obstacles in this life and I am encouraged to keep going.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by breaking big goals into smaller goals. When I set these goals such as earning a certification in my business, or attending a conference, I celebrate these wins. When I do that, I feel my second wind, I feel encouraged. As I continue to build-up myself, study, read, and learn a new skill; it shapes my confidence and I feel ready to keep going. It is a roller coaster of emotions, in a good way.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would reserve 20% of the 25k. I would purchase an updated POS system to include A.I. technology, inventory software and a loyalty program. Modify my CRM kitchen displays/monitors for Spanish interpretation, for accuracy and efficiency. Adding efficiency plus data will equal better decisions and less waste in the business. Retail branded merchandise. Introduce influencer tastings. Franchise Opportunity. And hire a Business Coach!
