Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My community is my inspiration. I was crowned Miss Compton 2014 and since then I've been heavily involved in community service and giving back to the great city of Compton. First and foremost my goal is to positively impact my community and live out my dream of making Fun-Diggity Funnel-Cake Mix a house hold name. I started a popup shop serving hot and fresh funnel cakes from my home in 2016 becoming a safe haven and creating a fun experience without the wait, the travel or the hassle.

How do you stay motivated?

My family is a huge part of my motivation. I run Fun-Diggity along side my mother Sharon, we are family owned and operated. My mother has always supported my dream and was the first person I pitched my idea to while in college helping me to get started. Secondly, The Fun-Diggity Crew over 31,000 customers who have supported my journey over the years. I have built a community and credibility with them and they have motivated me over the past 10 years to keep going and never give up!

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000 I would use the grant to enhance my e-commerce platform especially through TikTok Live Sale videos, invest in targeted marketing and advertising, and scaling my business operations and inventory cost. My goal is to partner with more influencers specifically on TikTok to amplify Fun-Diggity's message. We also cater events throughout Los Angeles County and would be able to expand our reach through strategic events that showcase our unique funnel cake experience.
