Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business is turning struggle into service. Living with Type 1 Diabetes taught me resilience, preparation, and how to keep moving through hard things. That drives me to build Project InsulNation—not just as a business, but as a mission to help others break limiting beliefs, build confidence, and realize they are capable of far more than they think.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by building what I wish existed for me when I felt alone, different, overwhelmed, and hesitant. Every step I take with Project InsulNation is about creating the kind of community, support, and proof I needed back then. Knowing this can help someone feel seen, capable, and less alone keeps me moving, even when the work is hard.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to start a scholarship fund and build a shared gear library so cost is not the reason someone gets left out. Too many people already carry enough barriers. I want to remove a few of them. This would help more adults with Type 1 Diabetes access life-changing adventures, feel included, and realize these experiences are for them too—not just for the people who can afford every piece of gear.
