My inspiration is truly multifaceted. Being the oldest of six and having grown up in the foster care system- “my why” in business has always been heavily tied to my family and creating a better future for them. But as time has progressed and so has my work with community- my inspiration has expanded into the very people I serve. The more I was exposed to the needs of our young people and our communities- it became the very fire that fuels everything I do.

As a person who has experienced my fair share of health challenges while navigating that as a single parent- the journey itself is what keeps me motivated. There’s this innate drive within me to be the best version of myself for the path that has been laid before me. The young people I serve deserve a community of change makers willing, able and driven to help them succeed. It’s one of the best parts of being human, seeing the positive impact we can have on others- if we so choose.

The funding would go towards “Part of the Change” to continue the work we do to serve community. It’ll also help us to continue providing mentorship to our young people and provide help to serve those who need help the most. Part of the Change has been fully self-funded since inception- but with my most recent health challenges- I had to learn the hard way- I cannot do this alone. With this, it allows you all to be “Part of the Change” along with us. Thank you.
