Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My business inspiration comes from communities served & the spaces that once didn’t exist but were deeply needed. I’m inspired by artists, performers, & entrepreneurs who show up with courage, creativity, & authenticity. Their willingness to share their talents reminds me why the work matters. Building opportunities where people can feel seen, supported, & celebrated continues to drive me entrepreneurially forward with purpose, resilience, & belief in community.

How do you stay motivated?

Motivation for me is seeing the impact that creative spaces and opportunities have on people. When artists feel supported, audiences feel connected, and community grows stronger, it reminds me why the work matters. I stay motivated by continuing to create spaces that center authenticity, joy, and belonging. Each event, project, or collaboration is a chance to build something meaningful that did not exist before and to show that community-driven ideas can grow into lasting impact.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the funds into expanding community-centered events, artist opportunities, and sustainable infrastructure for Simply Curious Enterprises. This includes supporting performers, improving production resources, and developing new programs like the Skagit Drag Expo that bring artists, small businesses, and audiences together. The goal would be to strengthen long-term sustainability while continuing to create spaces where creativity, connection, and community can thrive.
