Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration in business has always been people. I build organizations to serve real needs—supporting women, strengthening families, and creating resources where gaps exist. As a midwife and founder, I believe business is a tool for impact, not just success. My faith reminds me that the gifts we’re given are meant to serve others. If the work I do helps one woman feel stronger, one mother feel supported, or one family move forward with hope, then the work is worth it.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering who the work is for. Every program, clinic visit, or resource we create represents a real woman, a real family, and a real need. When I see someone gain confidence, stability, or hope because of something we built, it reminds me why I started. My faith also grounds me—it keeps me focused on purpose over pressure. I don’t chase motivation; I stay connected to the mission. When the mission is clear, the motivation follows.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I were given $25,000, I would invest it directly into programs that remove barriers for women and families. First, I would establish a small transportation assistance fund to help women get to job interviews, medical appointments, and training programs. I would also use part of the funding to launch the first operating phase of TMJ Women and Family Resource Center, including a clothing closet, food pantry and workforce preparation workshops.
