Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My daughter Cora Lee. She is on the autism spectrum and has muscle dystrophy which shaped her like the letter S. She is such a positive soul who does not realize she has quirks about her. So with that we started a business that is all about inclusion. Cupcakes with a cause. The cause is everyone is welcomed. We have helped many families overcome obstacles. How to face fears, have a place to come and not be judged. We understand. I personally am that mom, I get it.

How do you stay motivated?

Good question. I like being an advocate for the underdog. Love finding the potential in others that think they don’t have any or feel defeated. When you come into our shop you are going to feel better when you leave. Even if are already having a great day, I am going to make it even better. That’s what gets me going. Being there for others. I love supporting men, women, kids, I know how it feels to be lonely, know one wants that. Everyone wants to feel special.

What would you do with the $25,000?

During Covid we had our rent put on hold and that bill has now surfaced. The first 10,000 right to rent. The next $15,000 love to hold more fun classes for our special needs kids. Sometimes money is tight when always going to therapies. Personally know that all too well. We still have therapies and we are older now. To have something fun and parents not worry about how they can afford it would be lovely.
