Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My biggest inspiration in business is my dad. He owned his own business and always told me that one day I would be my own boss. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to see it happen, but he planted that seed in me very early. Watching him work for himself showed me what was possible and gave me the confidence to build something of my own. A big part of why I keep pushing with Daylish is because of the example he set and the belief he had in me.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated through my faith and my family. My faith keeps me grounded and reminds me that what I’m working toward is already being prepared, I just have to stay consistent and keep going. My husband and kids inspire me every day to continue building something meaningful and create a lasting legacy for our family.

What would you do with the $25,000?

When awarded the $25,000, I will use it to expand Daylish and create more opportunities through food. It would help us invest in equipment, marketing, and hosting more curated dining experiences. My goal is to grow our business in a way that creates jobs, serves our community, and continues building a legacy for my family.
