Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my own journey. When I moved to the U.S. 18 years ago, I was told my only job options were fast food, despite having significant experience and legal work authorization. That moment stayed with me. Years later in workforce development, I saw international students facing similar barriers. At the same time, employers were struggling to find talent. It inspired me to build a bridge between global talent and opportunity.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering what it felt like to be overlooked despite having the skills to contribute. Too many talented people experience that same barrier. At Purpose Connect, we’re helping international students and graduates access opportunities they’ve worked incredibly hard for while helping employers discover the talent they need. Knowing our work helps people build careers, support their families, and contribute their gifts keeps me going.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into expanding Purpose Connect’s platform so more international students can access employment opportunities in the U.S. The funding would support product development, employer onboarding, and university partnerships. Our goal is to remove barriers between global talent and the employers who need them, creating stronger teams and unlocking opportunity for thousands of skilled students.
