Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

After being laid off and struggling to find interviews, I began thinking about ways to turn my skills into an opportunity. I have always enjoyed refinishing and repurposing old items, from pavers to dressers. By collecting free items left on side streets, restoring them, and selling them on Facebook Marketplace, I can turn discarded objects into valuable pieces. This idea allows me to combine creativity, sustainability, and entrepreneurship while creating a potential source of income.

How do you stay motivated?

What motivates me is the opportunity to turn something overlooked into something valuable again. I enjoy the creativity and challenge involved in refinishing and repurposing old items. Each project requires problem-solving, patience, and new ideas. Seeing a worn or discarded piece transformed into something useful and beautiful gives me a strong sense of accomplishment and motivates me to keep learning, improving my skills, and creating opportunities through my own work.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would Buy a dependable truck to haul items that can go to more places. I am currently driving a minivan with 240,000 miles. Although, everyday is a challenge and a mystery.
