Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Establishing Detroit Digital Defense (3D) is something I envisioned for years. As an empty nester, I’m ready to invest in career freedom and meaningful work. My background in auditing and IT governance allows me to help organizations safely adopt technology while strengthening internal controls. I chose the nonprofit sector because it’s where strong systems and security can protect missions that truly serve communities.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by the impact technology can have when it’s implemented responsibly. My experience in IT auditing keeps me learning about emerging technologies while understanding how to protect organizations through strong controls and governance. Knowing that my work can help nonprofits operate securely and efficiently keeps me focused on building solutions that support their missions.

What would you do with the $25,000?

A $25,000 grant would allow 3D to move from its first successful contract into a sustainable consulting practice. The funding would support marketing, professional training, and networking opportunities to strengthen my business development skills. These investments would help expand services to more nonprofits that need guidance with cybersecurity, compliance, and technology operations.
