Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from my grandmother who worked hard back in the 1960's as a woman in sales and divorcee during a time when that was highly frowned upon. The judge told her she should take my grandfather to court for child support and she told him that she could do it on her own and didn't need him for anything except to be a father to their children. She then went on to become one of the highest regarded salespeople in the Bay Area and I have always wanted to follow in her footsteps.

How do you stay motivated?

My family and community keep me motivated. We have suffered a lot of loss recently and it has brought us all closer together. I want to show those around me that they can truly depend on me and know that I put my money where my mouth is and if they join me, they too can also feel that broadened success in their lives. I want to truly bring the light inside of me to everyone that I can in this small town and believe that if we all work together we can truly make a difference.

What would you do with the $25,000?

That kind of investment would be able to fund a handful of events that would strengthen the arts in our local community. I would be using it to complete costume curation, set building, prop procurement, and scholarships for young actors to be able to participate in our productions at no cost to them. By reaching out to those in need, we would be able to get some of the kids onto a better path in hopes they fall in love with the arts like I have!
