Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My art is inspired by my memory of my deceased grandmother, Veoria Vesti Parker Sykes. She was an immensely hard worker and mother to her entire neighborhood. Back in the days of the "mighty coupon" she maximized her paycheck and bought in bulk using direct from manufacturer coupons at grocery retailers. She was so generous and so well loved by her community both in life and in her departure to the unknown.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by listening to others as if they are a reflection of The Almighty. I also listen to high energy music, drink lots of herbal tea, and take time to enjoy nature. I only eat the foods I like to eat and I remember that I'm very blessed to have discovered my purpose early in my life. I only surround myself with people who are advocating with me and fighting for what I'm fighting for.

What would you do with the $25,000?

This $25,000 would be such a blessing because I would be able to increase my visibility as an artist as well as uplift my favorite women centered mission driven brands. I would launch a direct mail campaign for my current and new supporters- I would purchase advertising space in small black owned or women owned news/magazines, as print is one of our most intimate platforms. I would continue to host events for women to gather and I would take on at least 1 mentee and pay her using these funds.
