Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Easy - my mom! She raised my siblings and I as a single mother, working several jobs tirelessly. At the time I didn't understand how difficult the title of "single mother of five" was, or how difficult the task she had proudly taken on. Seeing her push through her circumstances, never quit, and provide all that she could for us was inspiring. My goal was to return the favor through starting my business. Sadly, she passed away from cancer and I didn't get that chance.

How do you stay motivated?

I've been "dead" twice (open heart surgery 2019 & 2024) and each time could have been the last time I opened my eyes. Between those two surgeries and my time deployed in the Marine Corps, I take an unconventional approach to each moment in life. Do it now, no excuse, nobody cares, tomorrow may not come! (PG version) I often tell myself those things several times a day to motivate the next steps, never quit, and be an example for my kids to follow in life, whatever their passion.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the winnings to purchase inventory that helps families and businesses prepare prior to disaster. I would take a portion of that inventory and donate gear and consulting to a local church, in support of their missionary services, and a nonprofit that supports veteran and first responder mental health. My business is all about disaster preparedness, purchasing inventory allows me to ensure more families and businesses are prepared when it matters most!
