Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My greatest inspiration is my daughter Jamie. She lives with a rare neurological disorder and works incredibly hard to do things many take for granted—sitting, standing, walking, even swallowing. Yet she meets each challenge with humor, determination, and joy. Her resilience inspired our brand Life is Sweet. While Jamie sparked the idea, the message is for everyone: life brings obstacles, but when we face them with courage, hope, and a little humor, even the sour moments can become sweet.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by my daughter Jamie. She lives with a rare neurological disorder and works every day to do things many take for granted. Providing her with the best quality of life drives everything I do. Building Life is Sweet is about creating a future where Jamie can thrive and contribute, while reminding others that everyone faces challenges—and that choosing hope, humor, and resilience can make even life’s hardest moments a little sweeter.  

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 to grow the Life is Sweet movement inspired by my daughter Jamie’s resilience. Through marketing, storytelling, and expanded products, we want to share a message of hope people can carry through their own challenges. Our goal is to help others adopt Life is Sweet as a reminder that even in difficult moments, life can still be sweet. As the brand grows, we will also give back to organizations supporting children and adults with disabilities.
