Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

Any entrepreneur that fights for their fellow human is my inspiration. I've seen my grandparents flooring business suffer and thrive, no matter their financial state, quality was ALWAYS their policy. They inspire me in the sense that they commit to their clients, as any businessperson should. After all, it's the customer that makes a business successful. I appreciate innovators who are headstrong, relentless, wise, and compassionate. A business thrives when you put others before yourself.

How do you stay motivated?

While I love innovation and have strong passion for what I do, I often find that as humans, it's difficult to motivate ourselves. I've experienced more motivation when the action comes first, rather than desire to do it. Motivation comes from discipline, and the ability to pace yourself. Working smart and strategically maintains motivation. Change and impact comes from people willing to do the hard even if it comes at a cost to them. Passion motivates me. Passion has maintained my discipline.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I am starting a network to promote national volunteerism, called The Flock. People are unaware of ways they can help others. There many amazing organizations out there, they just need extra resources and manpower to carry out their mission. I'd invest in my business and continue in development of a smart, strategic gameplan. The remainder of the money would go to retiring my incredible grandparents. Stagnancy is lethal... this is a blessing I'd take advantage of.
