Connect Who or what is your inspiration in business?

My inspiration comes from proving that limits are often just perceptions. Building DEFEND Detroit as a woman in a male-dominated industry taught me that discipline, resilience, and vision can break barriers. I’m driven by the belief that strong businesses can create opportunity, protect communities, and raise the standard for what professionalism and leadership look like in an industry.

How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated by remembering why I started. Every challenge building DEFEND Detroit has reinforced that persistence wins. Knowing our company protects people, supports Detroit’s businesses, and creates opportunities for professionals in our city keeps me focused on building something bigger than myself.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 into expanding DEFEND Detroit—growing our team, improving professional training, and strengthening operations so we can serve more venues and events across the city. My goal is to build a respected security company that protects communities while creating professional opportunities and raising the standard of safety in Detroit.
